The bearded dragons were almost equally active as they were the last time. The bearded dragons both ate something this time, again. Instead of starting with the larger one, I started with the smaller one. At 7 cm, it ate mealworms and the lettuce I presented it with. For the mealworm, it took around 15 seconds (15.05 to be exact).
The smaller one ate the lettuce extremely quickly- the second I gave the lettuce to it (1.23 seconds). The larger of the two only ate the lettuce, unfortunately. It took the lizard about 12 seconds to consume the lettuce. One specific thing that I noticed both didn't eat the carrot I presented them with. As for the smaller one, it was the second time it didn't eat the carrot in a row. And the larger one, it's the second time in a row that it didn't consume the mealworm. This could possibly mean that I am slowly discovering which type of food that each bearded dragon prefers. My hypothesis is proving somewhat correct and incorrect. It is correct because they both ate something at a close range, but it is incorrect to a degree because the larger one has not eaten a mealworm in the past two experiments. -Jack
Below are two short videos that show the smaller bearded dragon eating lettuce and a mealworm. The times said above are different because the first time I am timing, and the second time I present it with food I am filming.
